A few weeks ago we made a trip down I-5 to the Umpqua River. I grew up going to my Aunt’s cabin every summer and have the best memories of spending every second swimming and boating in the river. About ten years ago, the cabin was sold and we haven’t been back until the cabin next door became available to rent and we now are able to start up the tradition once again. The thought of having my children get that same opportunity to spend summers swimming there makes me so excited. This year, Olivia was at the age where she was able to float around in her life jacket and turtle floatie. Of course, she loved it and could have stayed in the water all day long. That’s my girl! John and I also loved swimming in the warm water, wakeboarding and fishing. It truly is one of the most relaxing places to vacation. The other highlight was all the amazing food we made together. The food ranged from an amazing smoked salmon pasta dish to a rediculous amount of sushi we all made. SOOO good!!
This past weekend we went on our annual trip to Sunriver with the family to the Payton’s house. It was a quick trip since we left on Saturday morning and got home Monday afternoon, but we managed to fit in mostly everything. The highlights were bike riding, tennis, shopping in Bend, boys trip to Cowboy Dinner Tree, girl’s night, endless amounts of yummy food and spending time talking and laughing with family.
